From Burgers & Pizza to Crepes and Ice creams you’ll be spoilt for Choice at Shannon town Centre’s matchday event.
Lee Hayes, representing Shannon Town Centre, shared, “We could not let such a weekend pass without marking the huge achievements of our local players and managers. Although there is a screening event in Ennis, we felt it was important to host something locally, given
the significant involvement of Shannon residents in this year’s team and the immense pride our community has in supporting them.”
The event will feature a large screen set up in the courtyard of Shannon Town Centre, along with vendors, food stalls, and entertainment suitable for all ages. “Tickets for this year’s Final are in short supply, and many families might find it challenging to travel with small
children. We hope this event will allow everyone in our community and the surrounding areas to experience the excitement of the day and cheer on our local players,” added Hayes.
Local Councillor David Griffin of the Shannon Municipal District expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s great to see a local event to celebrate the players and support the team. People are immensely proud of the entire team, especially those local players and management who have brought us to Croke Park for an All-Ireland Final.”
Griffin also noted the community’s efforts to show support, “Shannon MD staff have put up signs around Shannon Town to support the team, and Clare County Council has arranged a large screen in Ennis for the wider county. As the county’s second-largest town and one with a strong connection to this year’s team, it’s wonderful to see a locally organized event to cheer them on.”
The Match day event will take place from 2:00pm Sunday July 21st with Live music kicking the day off before the match. Be sure to pop down grab a bite to eat and be match ready come 3:30pm !
