Shannon Chamber Invites Businesses to Offer Affinity Card Discounts to its Membership

Shannon Chamber operates an Affinity Card programme whereby businesses offer discounts to members for purchasing products or services for them.

The scheme, which was first introduced to stimulate local trade and offer additional value to chamber member companies and their employees, is now open to new participants. Having recently launched a new website, Shannon Chamber is keen to expand the discount scheme and is inviting businesses to formulate a new offer which can be made available to its 250 member companies and their wider employee base of almost 10,000 employees.

Participation in the Affinity Card scheme is open to every business – retailers and service providers such as financial institutions, hotels, restaurants, insurance brokers, business consultants and telecommunications providers – any business willing to offer a discounted price to Chamber members.

Making the call, Shannon Chamber’s chief executive Helen Downes said: “The Affinity Card is a great way for businesses to reach a large market in a very affordable way. The only cost that’s involved in the percentage discount they wish to offer; there is no cost attached to being listed in the scheme. We are compiling a new list of offers and once we have them in, we will post them on our website, and send out alerts via our social media channels. The offers are advertised and directed to a very targeted audience. What better way to increase trade, revenue and profits for all participants?”
