Ireland’s biggest Independent Holiday Show returns to Limerick

Monday 29 January 2018:  The strength of the holiday market will be evidenced this weekend as the largest Holiday Show ever held in the region takes place at UL Arena on Saturday and Sunday next, 3rd and 4th February.

Now in its third year, the Holiday Show, in association with Shannon Airport, will have over 90 exhibitors, including airlines, hotels, cruise companies, travel agents, tourist boards, tour operators, tourist attractions and more.

Record crowds are expected to attend the free event, which attracts thousands of holiday makers from across the country each year, on Saturday and Sunday (12-5:30pm).  The event will reflect the year buoyancy of the holiday market, with 2018 expected to be the best in a decade.

Attendees can not alone get expert advice on their holiday or honeymoon but will be able to snap up exclusive deals and win some amazing prizes into the bargain.

Organisers of the show have advised holiday makers to book early this year, with last minute deals set to be few and far between due to the rush to snap up holidays for the likes of Spain, Portugal and the Canaries.

Said Edmund Hourican, Managing Director Bizex, organisers of the Holiday Show:  “We have a great event lined up and the timing is excellent as it’s going to be a bumper year for holidays, the biggest in over a decade.”

In addition to free admission, there will also be free car parking and free kids entertainment.

Shannon Airport’s Head of Aviation Development, Declan Power, said, “We are delighted to be back for a third year, bigger and better than before, with a record number of suppliers exhibiting. With 28 flights a week out of Shannon this summer to sun holiday hotspots across Europe and new routes to Toronto with Air Canada and to Reus with Ryanair, in addition to Norwegian Air increasing frequency on its services to Providence and Stewart  this summer Shannon Airport is on a high, with more options than ever before.”

Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to discuss and book their holidays with the travel experts and also be in with a chance to win many prizes on offer through the two day event. Exhibitors include airlines, tour operators, tourism attractions, cruise companies, caravan and camping motorhomes and of course many travel agents to help you book that summer break.
