Investment in Rural Towns and Villages Must Be Consultative and Collaborative to Achieve Success

Shannon Chamber welcomes the €10million Town and Village Renewal investment scheme launched this week by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs in Clones, Co. Monaghan.

“This commitment to regenerate rural towns and villages, which is aimed at improving the living and working environment of local communities and support their potential to increase economic activity, is a positive in the drive to revitalise rural Ireland.

“Consultation and collaboration with all stakeholders will be central to the success of the projects chosen for investment under this scheme. Shannon Chamber will play its part in whatever way possible to ensure that innovative projects capable of delivering long-term and sustainable economic benefits, not only for the individual town or village in Co Clare but also for the wider county and region, are supported.”
