The Absolute Hotel in Limerick city attended the 2017 Gold Medal Awards, in association with Hotel & Catering Review magazine in Kilkenny in September. They were delighted to bring home the award for the Best business hotel.  The Gold medal awards are seen as the Oscars of the hospitality industry.

General manager Donnacha Hurley said, “‘I could not be prouder, it is fantastic for the staff, we have been nominated for the last three years, so to bring it home is just a great boost to all here.  We are the number one hotel in Limerick on TripAdvisor, so coupled with this, it is the recognition that keeps us focused on the customer on and our values.”  The hotel is evaluated and benchmarked by independent professional judges that covertly audit the hotels during the year.  The finalists in the business category are recognised for their excellence in the provision of amenities and facilities which are required by modern travellers on business.
