Workplace Relations Commission launches new redesigned website

Dublin, 8 May 2019. The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) launched its new redesigned website today.

The website, which can still be found at www.workplacerelations.ie, was developed throughout 2018 with input from key internal and external stakeholders through focus groups, testing and surveys.

It is more visually appealing, easier to navigate and search, and will enhance user experience overall. One example of the improvements includes the ‘Decisions and Determinations’ page, one of the most popular pages on the website, which has been redesigned to include a more prominent and powerful keyword search. It also includes filters, which are presented in order of popularity and tooltips to explain to users how to filter their searches.

Speaking about the new website Director General of the WRC, Mr. Liam Kelly said, “I am delighted to announce the launch of our redesigned website. After working throughout 2018 with our stakeholders to develop a website fit for the needs of all our customers, I am happy to see it come to life today’’.

“We are committed to continuously improving the service we provide, and it is an important part of our remit to educate the public of their rights and responsibilities under employment, equality and equal status legislation. This improved website and our new Twitter account will help them to find the information they need, when they need it, quickly and easily.”

Welcoming the launch of the redesigned website, Pat Breen, Minister of State at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation said ‘the new website is a further step in ensuring that the Workplace Relations Commission delivers the best possible service to the users of its services.  The Commission’s ongoing commitment to working with stakeholders, taking on board their views and making information more accessible to the people who need it most is to be commended’.

The Labour Court also launched its new website today. The WRC website address remains unchanged at www.workplacerelations.ie, while the Labour Court can be found at www.labourcourt.ie. All decisions from the WRC and Labour Court will be held on a shared database, which can be accessed from either site.
