Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) continues its commitment to global education and collaboration with the establishment of its LATAM (Latin America) office launched recently at a reception in Mexico City.
This strategic move marks a significant milestone in TUS’s mission to support demand from Latin American students seeking opportunities abroad, foster international partnerships and provide unparalleled educational opportunities to Latin American students seeking to study abroad.
Located in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, the new TUS LATAM office will serve as a pivotal hub for fostering academic and research collaborations between TUS and institutions, organizations, and individuals across Latin America.
By establishing a physical presence in the region, TUS aims to strengthen its ties with Latin American countries, deepen cultural exchange, and facilitate knowledge transfer in various fields of study.

The launch, attended by Irish embassy representatives, TUS leadership, Education in Ireland and influencers in education from across Mexico, represents a strategic step forward for TUS as it seeks to expand its global footprint and enhance its reputation as a leading institution in education, research, and innovation.
TUS is also celebrating a new partnership two universities in Latin America, the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico and UNIVA in Brazil.
This development not only highlights TUS’s commitment to fostering global connections but also underscores its dedication to enhancing educational accessibility in the region and ties into its QS 5 Stars-rated Excellent in Internationalisation.
