Young and hungry dynamic team to head up new firm

Two of Limerick’s top law firms are merging to create one of the largest firms in Limerick employing over 30 people. Connolly Sellors Geraghty and Keating & Keogh have announced a merger to create one large firm– Keating Connolly Sellors – to service a Limerick, Munster and international client base.  Historically, this is the first merger of its size outside Dublin, where two mid-sized firms have strategically merged to create a larger legal resource to handle business.

Historically, FB Keating & Co was the first Solicitors firm to open an office in
County Clare in the 1980’s. Both Connolly Sellors Geraghty & FB Keating & Co worked with Shannon Development for over 30 years in the area of residential property for the town of Shannon and inward investment for international companies wishing to base themselves in Shannon.

Stephen Keogh, who practices in the area of corporate law, will lead the firm as Managing Partner.  Stephen is also a Director and Company Secretary of Shannon Chamber of Commerce with the new firm acting for some of the leading companies in Shannon to include Shannon Commercial Properties, RoryLynch Transport and Pepper Asset Servicing.

He will be supported by the firm’s five other partners;  Joseph Murphy (litigation), Eugene Cush (commercial property), Ian Sheehy (privateclient), Miriam O’Connor (property) and Ronan Hynes (civil and commercial litigation).  Minister for Finance Michael Noonan is to attend the official launch this Friday.

Keating Connolly Sellors plans to expand rapidly by employing further legal professionals by the end of 2015.  The new firm will maintain offices on both O’Connell and Glentworth Street, Limerick.
