Shannon’s International Aviation Services Centre (IASC) to exhibit at the European Business and Corporate Aviation Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva from May 19-21.
EBACE is the largest business and corporate aviation show in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. It brings together aircraft manufacturers, operators and suppliers.
IASC is presenting Shannon’s capabilities for business aircraft owners, operators, and maintenance providers, and, in particular, is highlighting the benefits of the new Irish “EJ” aircraft register for corporate aircraft, which IASC is partnering with the Irish Aviation Authority to promote.
Shannon Airport is already a major transit stop for corporate and business aircraft and is the only airport outside the Americas which offers US Customs and Border Preclearance for passengers on business aircraft. The forthcoming National Aviation Policy will designate Shannon as a national Centre of Excellence for Corporate Aviation, and Shannon Group is committed to developing Shannon’s presence still further in this market sector. Shannon-based companies active in the corporate and business aviation market already include Private Sky, Part M Aviation, Jetex, Shannon Air Link, Le Bas International, Westair, Universal, Signature and Quintessentially among others, and the airport is in discussion with others.
“Shannon has a lot to offer business and corporate aviation,” said Patrick Edmond, MD of IASC. “Not only are we strategically located between Europe and the US, but we draw on local strengths in aircraft leasing and aircraft maintenance, and many of the companies in the IASC cluster here specialise in this market. We’re attending EBACE to promote Shannon and the new EJ aircraft register and we look forward to growing our corporate aviation business further in future.”
