Shannon Chamber has described today’s announcement that Renovo Motors Inc is to establish its EMEA headquarters in Shannon Free Zone as a great step forward in developing Shannon as a leading centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicle technologies.
“Not only is it great to see Shannon win yet another investment in 2021 but to have an automotive data management software company, that plays such a key role in the development of future software-defined vehicles, choose Shannon for its first international office and software development hub is a great achievement for IDA Ireland.
“Renovo Motors Inc’s selection of Shannon for the development of its leading-edge technology is a tremendous endorsement of Future Mobility Campus Ireland’s plan to firmly establish Shannon as a key contributor to this very exciting sector.
“It is equally pleasing to note that Renovo will work closely with the many auto tech companies in the region, including Jaguar Land Rover, and will provide career opportunities in software development, engineering and business development, project management and artificial intelligence, for candidates within and outside the region.
“We congratulate IDA Ireland on securing this investment for Shannon, one of eight new investments announced today, which confirms their commitment to delivering investments to all regions.
“Shannon Chamber looks forward to welcoming Dennis Hamann, managing director, EMEA, Renovo and his team to Shannon. We also look thank Chris Heiser, co-founder, and CEO, Renovo for choosing Shannon for the company’s first international investment,” added Ms Downes.
