Shannon Chamber has welcomed the news that Conal Henry is to be appointed the new Chairperson of Shannon Group Plc and looks forward to his nomination being formally approved by the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications.

Chamber CEO Helen Downes said: “The Shannon Group’s operations, both Shannon Airport and Shannon Commercial Properties, are critically important to the region from a socio-economic perspective and it is imperative that these are steered at board level by a chairperson with broad ranging experience and expertise.

“Having previously engaged with Mr Henry in his capacity as former CEO of enet, his expansive skills gained from leading in diverse sectors will be a most valuable attribute in his undertaking this critical role for Shannon.

“Shannon Chamber looks forward to working alongside Mr Henry when his appointment is formalised, and he assumes the position as Chairperson of Shannon Group plc.”
