Shannon Chamber and Enterprise Ireland join forces to deliver two-day ‘Scaling Up’ workshop

In response to members’ requests for a return visit by world-renowned guru on scaling up a business, Verne Harnish, Shannon Chamber has organised a 2-day ‘Scaling Up’ workshop in association with Enterprise Ireland and with the support of Shannon Chamber Skillnet, which will be held in Dromoland Castle Hotel on 11 and 12 May.

The workshop will focus on four key metrics against which a company’s needs to assess its performance: people, strategy, execution, and cash. Presenter Verne Harnish will share tools to help businesses navigate the right decisions in each of these critical areas of business. CEOs and their senior executive teams will learn how to master the Scaling Up framework (Rockefeller Habits 2.0), which has already empowered more than 40,000 executives to overcome the barriers of scaling up.

Chamber CEO Helen Downes explains: “We were amazed at the feedback we received for the last seminar we held with Verne Harnish in 2019. It was described as exceptional and inspirational and the Rockefeller Habits framework an incredibly powerful and transformative set of business tools. The workshop inspired attendees with many companies now using the tools to scale their businesses.

“We were oversubscribed in 2019 but are now delighted to have secured Verne for a 2-day workshop, which will be more in-depth and accommodate more interaction, collaboration, and networking.

“Having heard member companies rave about the learning they took from attending the last workshop and the changes they have and are now making in their businesses; I had a burning ambition to bring him back for a more intensive session. We were truly amazed at his immeasurable insights, his energy for sharing knowledge and his interest in seeing companies grow from mice, as he put it, to elephants and we want to see more elephants grow here in the Mid-West region and indeed, Ireland. So many companies came to Dromoland from Dublin, Cork, Galway, and places in between. It was simply an amazingly energising day and we look forward to an even greater event in May,” Ms Downes stated.

CEO of Atlantic Aviation Group who has attended a number of Scaling Up workshops added: “Our team benefitted greatly from attending the workshop in Dromoland in 2019. It equipped them with best-in-class tools and skills to develop and execute a definitive strategy and get everyone aligned It totally re-energised the team and has helped us to successfully scale the business.”
