Shannon Chamber is keen to encourage more businesses to sign up to its affinity card programme and join the thirty-five member companies who already offer various levels of discounts to Chamber members who do business with them.

The Affinity Card programme has been designed to encourage intra-member business. By enrolling as an affinity card participant, member companies can reward fellow members for purchasing products or services from them, through offering a specified discount or special offer.

Discounts currently available cover both Business to Consumer (B2C) offers – reductions on hotel overnight rates, lunches and dinners, spa treatments, books and magazines, pottery, golf green fees, flower loyalty points, meat and poultry, banquets, toiletries and perfumes, flight simulator, fine wines, gym membership, jewellery, domestic BER ratings – and Business to Consumer (B2C) offers such as free website review, discounts on Google AdWords, marketing consultancy, microsites, group discounts on insurance and free assessment survey of storage systems.

Launching the new offers, Shannon Chamber chief executive Helen Downes said: “Participation in the Affinity Card scheme is open to every Shannon Chamber member – retailers and service providers such as financial institutions, hotels, restaurants, insurance brokers, business consultants and telecommunications providers – any member business willing to offer a discounted price to the Chamber’s 300 members and their employees.

The offers can be viewed at www.shannonchamber.ie/membership/affinity-offers/

Member companies can also upload a new offer at www.shannonchamber.ie/services/affinity-card/add-affinity-offer/ and it will be assessed for its suitability before being sanctioned.

“This is an effective way for companies to reach a wider audience and add value to their membership. We hope to see a lot more members upload offers in the months ahead, “added Ms Downes.
