Modular Automation a Great Example of how Continuous Innovation Enhances a Company’s Sustainability…Shannon Chamber

Describing the news that Modular Automation is to create 100 new jobs as part of its expansion over the next three years as a great boost for Shannon and the wider region, Shannon Chamber CEO Helen Downes said that this announcement by an indigenous company is the perfect example of what can be achieved through investment in innovation and continuous improvement.

“It strengthens a company’s sustainability and enables it to carve out a niche and gain global recognition as a leader in its sector; in Modular Automation’s case, that is in automation solutions for the MedTec sector.

“We send congratulations to CEO Vivienne Farrell and her team for their commitment to Shannon. Modular is a 32-year-old Shannon-based company, which has grown from strength to strength, expanding both its employment level and its footprint in Shannon. Growth of this nature by an indigenous company clearly demonstrates that the Mid-West region is well positioned to attract investment and skills from both the indigenous and multinational sectors.

“It’s a great news day for Shannon,” added Ms Downes.
