In a statement issued today (Tuesday, 22 December 2015), Shannon Chamber said it was disappointed to learn that Shannon Group’s CEO Neil Pakey is to leave the Company on the conclusion of his three-year contract next year.

Having worked with Mr Pakey since his arrival in Shannon, Chamber president Kevin Thompstone, speaking on behalf of members, said: “Neil has not just seen the connection between the Airport and the region but made and reinforced that connection.  He has contributed and delivered many innovative undertakings which have benefited the airport, the region at large and the entire western seaboard.

“He has a track record of delivering for Shannon and the region. Shannon’s loss of this experience will be somewhere else’s gain,” Mr Thompstone added.
