The annual LEAN event at Zimmer has grown to become one of the most sought-after events in Shannon Chamber’s annual calendar and this year is no exception. With attendance capped at 70, and bookings filling up fast for the forthcoming half-day seminar, which takes place in the Zimmer facility in Shannon on Tuesday, 25 November, it’s obvious that LEAN is a topic that exercises the minds of key executives everywhere.

This year’s guest speaker, Coca Cola’s operational excellence manager, Gerry Meegan, is a big draw. With over 20 years’ experience in Lean and Six Sigma implementations within the supply chain functions, attendees will get a real insight into how LEAN processes work in two different sectors, orthopaedics and soft drinks.

Over the last four years, he has taken traditional lean tools and applied them to an office environment with significant financial results.
