Shannon Chamber extends congratulations to Brian Gleeson and his team at Gleeson Goldsmiths in Ballycasey on being nominated Clare Business of the Year in the FBD Clare Business Excellence Awards organised by Ennis Chamber.

Well-renowned at home and abroad for producing outstanding and timeless handcrafted jewellery, Gleeson Goldsmiths is a hidden gem in Shannon and the region’s retail sector, crafting busily in its busy Ballycasey workshops.

Trained in Kilkenny Design Centre as a designer goldsmith-jeweller, proprietor Brian Gleeson worked with many leading brands as a jewellery designer and prototype model maker before opening up a workshop in Dunguaire Castle in Co Galway and then ultimately setting up in Ballycasey Craft and Design Centre in 1991.

Commenting on this achievement, Shannon Chamber chief executive Helen Downes said: “Quality always shines through so it’s no surprise that craftsmanship of the quality of Brian Gleeson Jewellers has been recognised.
