Description

Shannon Chamber in conjunction with Deloitte is delighted to host a business immigration briefing as we face into 2025 with skills shortages, and talent retention and attraction, at the top of most companies’ key business risks.

We are pleased to be joined by business immigration experts from Deloitte’s Dublin office who will provide insights and strategies on employing non-EEA national talent in Ireland as a solution for skills shortages, together with key compliance issues.

Roisin Fitzpatrick, Partner and Head of Deloitte’s Business Immigration practice and Kim Wong, Director in Deloitte’s Business Immigration practice will focus on essential business immigration issues including:

  • Current challenges in the Irish and EU labour market with skills shortages in key areas and continuing demographic changes.
  • An overview of Irish business immigration and how to successfully navigate and use it to recruit and maintain top talent in your business.
  • A recap on the Employment Permits Act, 2024 introduced in September 2024 which consolidated employment permit legislation.
  • Other important changes in 2024, including increased digitization and the introduction of new processes.
  • What further business immigration changes can be expected in 2025 and beyond and how can employers prepare themselves.
  • Key compliance and risk issues for employers, to include right to work checks, Workplace Relations Commission inspections and other legislative provisions.
