Shannon Chamber is delighted to note that member company, Emerald VIP Services (Holdings) Ltd, the Irish based concierge, executive transportation, travel and
aviation services provider, has added Keith Wood to  its leadership Board as a co-owner/
investor.
A former competitor in our annual golf Classic, Keith has worked with a number of large global brands providing expertise in sponsorship, strategy and marketing implementation. He joins existing Emerald VIP owners, Peter Costelloe, Steve Gulvin
and David Best, and will advise on Emerald’s growth strategy, which includes expanding Emerald’s rapidly growing business across new geographies and services including AirportGateway, the global airport meet and assist business.
Keith is a former captain of the Irish, British & Irish Lions, Munster, Harlequins & Garryowen Rugby Teams. He is also co-owner of W2 Consulting which provides a wide range of consultative assignments in Ireland and the UK to a broad range of businesses including SME’s, Multinationals, Statutory Agencies, National Governing Bodies, professional sports bodies and community organisations.
Peter Costelloe, Emerald VIP’s founder, commented: “The past 24 months has seen a significant overhaul of our leadership team with the arrival of Steve in 2014 and David in 2016. Emerald is now a global provider of concierge services and we felt the time was now right to increase the experience at board level. Keith’s knowledge of sports marketing, brand engagement, strategic planning and sponsorship management will significantly benefit our overall expansion plans.”

Keith holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Limerick for services to Sport and was the inaugural winner of the IRB World Player of the Year in 2001. He is a Patron of Special Olympics, Chair of the Healthy Ireland Council and Patron of the UNESCO Chair for Inclusive Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness in Tralee IT. His business interests include ORRECO, a Bio-marker Data analysis company for elite athletes, and Spin South West, a regional radio station.
