Alleviate the distress and trauma of the citizens of Ukraineā€¦Make a Donation Today

Shannon Chamber is adding its voice to the many appeals that have been made to help the citizens of Ukraine bear the trauma, distress and hardship that has been imposed on them in the past two weeks.

We applaud those locally and nationally who have already established ways to donate and to which many people have already so generously contributed to.

We would like to make you aware of another option.

Our Vice Presidentā€™s company, Eoin Gavin Transport, is consolidating donations of goods and will be sending one of its trucks directly to the Ukraine border. The truck will be loaded with donations from the community supported by Sixmilebridge & Newmarket GAA, Clonmoney National School, wider Clare community, its customers and suppliers.  Onward transport of donated goods to Hrubieszowski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Hrubieszow, beside the Ukrainian border in Poland, is being organised free of charge.

Donations can be made in a number of ways;

  1. Goods can be dropped to Eoin Gavin Transport, V95TOFP between 10am and 12 noon Monday to Saturday.  Goods must be boxed and labelled .
  2. Individuals or companies can call BWG Cash and Carry Ennis Co Clare (Bernie or John at (065) 686 2200) referencing Ukraine Humanitarian Aid, Eoin Gavin Transport, and they will pick and pack the  goods

NOTE: Food, Toys, Hygiene Products and Medical Products have been specifically requested.

It is great to see local businesses rallying to support this appeal and we cannot underestimate this support. Don’t hesitate; make a donation today.
