AirportGateway® based in Ireland celebrated the official launch of its innovative airport meet and greet service today at Shannon Airport as well as announcing that the service will be available at over 200 locations globally within the next 12 months.
AirportGateway was founded by entrepreneurs Steve Gulvin & Peter Costelloe in 2016 and offers an exclusive personalised airport meet and greet service which can be combined with onward private transportation to your end destination be it your place of work, hotel or home.
“We created AirportGateway based on our own historic experiences of travelling by commercial airlines through international airports and the lack of a reliable personalised experience at an affordable cost,” stated Gulvin.
“Our goal is to provide a consistent and seamless service regardless of which airport you are flying through be it in Europe, Asia, Africa or the U.S. and to combine it where requested with private ground transportation with the entire service coordinated centrally through our HQ located at Shannon Airport.
“The service is for any traveller flying commercially be it in economy, business or first class. We spent 12 months trialling the service across multiple airports including Shannon, Dublin and Cork along with several other airports to ensure we could provide a consistent service at a price that is attractive and cost effective whether you are travelling for business or leisure purpose. Indeed, one of our first customers was a Doctor in County Clare travelling to Dublin with his wife and 3 young children who wanted to avoid the stress of driving to the airport and getting his family to the aircraft gate stress free. We have also seen considerable interest from a Health & Safety perspective from companies that have employees travelling internationally wanting to ensure they arrive safely at their end destination.
“We are delighted that Shannon Airport offered to host our launch event, indeed the assistance we have received locally has been fantastic.
“Clare Local Enterprise Office assisted us with an employment grant whilst Shannon and Limerick Chamber of Commerce have supported us through their incredible networks and we look forward to working with each of them as we build our global offering”, added Gulvin.

AirportGateway, owned by Gulvin, Costelloe and US based David Best has also confirmed that Keith Wood, former captain of the Irish Rugby Team, has recently joined the company as co-owner and investor.
