New Dr Brendan O’Regan Centre in Bunratty Folk Park proving popular with visitors

Just one month after opening, the new Dr Brendan O’Regan Centre at Bunratty Folk Park is already proving popular with visitors keen to learn more about the life and legacy of one of County Clare’s great innovators, visionaries and peacemakers.
Primary sponsor Ei Electronics’ founder and chairman, Mick Guinee, visited the centre last week to see first-hand the dedicated exhibition space celebrating the Sixmilebridge native’s remarkable contribution to tourism, aviation, industry, commerce and peacebuilding in County Clare, across Ireland and internationally.
The centre also features an intimate cinematic space where visitors can watch an oral and visual account of Dr Brendan O’Regan’s life, work and lasting impact.
The Dr Brendan O’Regan Centre was developed following a long-held vision of Sixmilebridge Historical Society. The centre, together with a statue of Dr O’Regan sculpted by artist Seamus Connolly, was made possible through the support of Clare County Council and primary sponsor Ei Electronics, with additional support from Atlantic Aviation Group, Engine Lease Finance Corporation, Shannon Chamber of Commerce, CAE Parc Aviation, The Shannon Airport Group, Roche, Magellan Aviation Group, Shannon Engine Support Limited and Shannon Aviation Museum.
