SGC now All Ireland Champions in the Jimmy Bruen Shield
What a day Sept 20th was for Shannon Golf Club in Mannan Castle GC Co Monaghan.
They became Jimmy Bruen All Ireland Champions for the first time in the Club’s history. This Inter-club Golf Ireland & AIG sponsored competition sees 300 clubs from all over Ireland participate with hopes of winning it.
We would like to congratulate the Panel and Management who put their heart and soul into bringing a pennant to the Club.
With Colm Hanley being Team Manager and SGC Captain, it was a dream come true for him to be at the helm when so many more tried very hard for a long time before him.
An amazing achievement for Shannon and its fine group of golfers.
Shannon hosted the finals last year and they know the massive amount of work involved, so congrats to everyone at Mannan Castle Golf Club for hosting the event. Thanks also to Clonakilty Golf Club for a truly sporting final
