Clare Association Dublin’s Annual Awards Night to honour 2025 Award Recipients

The Clare Association Dublin’s annual awards recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields while promoting the values and spirit of County Clare.
This year’s recipients, Clare Person of the Year, Mary Considine, CEO of the Shannon Airport Group and Hall of Fame recipient, Professor Michael Kerin, will be honoured at the Annual Awards Dinner, which takes place on Saturday, 6 September 2025 at the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon.
The Annual Awards Dinner is a key event in the Clare calendar, bringing together the Clare community, friends, and supporters. The evening will include a drinks reception, three-course dinner, musical entertainment, and heartfelt tributes to the honourees.
Congratulating Mary Considine on being recognised for her exceptional leadership and commitment to the Shannon Region, Shannon Chamber CEO Helen Downes said: “Mary is a trailblazer and a proud ambassador for County Clare. Her contribution to the Mid-West region, and to aviation in Ireland, continues to be both inspiring and impactful. We are delighted to see her receive this well-deserved honour.”
As CEO of The Shannon Airport Group, Mary Considine has been instrumental in driving regional economic development, enhancing connectivity, and championing the long-term sustainability of Shannon Airport as a key national and international gateway.
Also being recognised on the night is Professor Michael Kerin, originally from Kilnamona, who will be inducted into the Association’s Hall of Fame for his ground-breaking work in cancer surgery, research, and education. He currently serves as Chair of Surgery at the University of Galway and Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
