Iceland opens today at Skycourt Shopping Centre with festive Turkey offer
Food retailer Iceland has officially opened its newest store at Skycourt, Shannon, Co. Clare. This marks the nineteenth store in Ireland for the retailer, following the announcement in April that Iceland Ireland has invested €12 million into nine new stores in Ireland this year.
The Shannon store sees the creation of 28 jobs, bringing the total number of staff in Iceland Ireland to over 420 in nineteen stores across twelve counties in Ireland. The 8,700-sq. ft. store will not only stock Iceland’s quality frozen produce but also fresh produce and a vast chilled goods selection as well as all those household essentials.
In addition to Iceland being the exclusive stockist of the Slimming World range in Ireland, the store is also home to over 2,000 grocery products and is proud to support more than 40 local Irish suppliers.
From December 4th, Iceland Shannon customers who spend €100 in store, will get a 5kg turkey absolutely free, even more of a reason to shop Iceland this season.
Ron Metcalfe, Managing Director of Iceland Ireland commented; “Today marks the official opening of Iceland Shannon and we are delighted to welcome customers through the doors to experience our fantastic range, quality and value that Iceland has to offer. This is our final store opening of 2017 – it’s been an amazing year for us and we’re looking forward to continuing with our expansion nationwide in 2018. We have had a great response across the country when launching new stores and are excited to see new customers in the Shannon store just in time for Christmas.”
Daniel Moynihan, Iceland Shannon Store Manager added; “We’re looking forward to welcoming new customers to the store, and of course showcasing the extensive product range and fantastic value available at Iceland.”
Shannon customers will be able to avail of the Iceland Bonus Card, allowing them to benefit while picking up all the essentials in the weekly shop. The Bonus Card means that with every €30 saved on to the card, customers get €1 free to spend in any Iceland store, whenever they choose.
