IBTS Calls For East Clare Donors As Hospital Supplies Seven Days Below Desired Levels – Clare FM

Blood supplies typically fall after the festive season, but hospital demand remains constant, with patients continuing to rely on life-saving blood for cancer treatment, surgery, emergency care, and maternity services.

Clinics are taking place at:

Shannon Oakwood Hotel
Wednesday 7th & Thursday 8th January
4pm – 7:20pm

Ennis West County Hotel
Tuesday 6th January
4:50pm – 8:10pm

Phone 1800 222 111 for appointment.
New Donors welcome at all clinics.

Local support this week is particularly important to help rebuild stocks and protect hospital services into the New Year.

Broadford based  Recruitment Executive Alex O’Connor of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service said:
“Every Christmas we see a gap in donations, but the need for blood in our hospitals does not pause. We are asking anyone who is able to give blood in Clare to please come forward — taking under an hour can make a real difference for patients.”
