Have Your Say: Help Shape Ireland’s Investment Environment through ICC FDI Tax Survey

As part of Shannon Chamber’s ongoing commitment to representing our members’ interests at both national and international level, we are inviting businesses to participate in an important survey being conducted by Chambers Ireland in partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

 

The ICC Survey on Tax Factors Impacting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors. The findings will directly inform policy recommendations aimed at improving Ireland’s investment climate and strengthening our competitive position on the global stage.

 

Survey focus areas include:

  • Key tax factors influencing investment decisions.
  • Barriers to investment, including tax transparency, compliance burden, VAT refunds, tariffs, and certainty.
  • Challenges in achieving tax predictability for businesses.
  • Differences in tax impacts across countries and regions.
  • Sector, industry, and company size variations.
  • Practical recommendations to improve tax certainty and attract FDI.

Survey details:

  • Time to complete: 10–12 minutes.
  • Confidentiality: All responses will be anonymised and reported in aggregate.
  • Deadline: Thursday, 5 September 2025.
