The overall aim of the project is to: make Shannon a better place in which to live, work and do business; deliver a not-for-profit centre, developed and operated by the community, for the community and; create a multi-functional space for creative, civic and community activity.

The Shannon Venue needs your help to make this happen.

Shannon Chamber, for its part, is assisting in organising a series of workshops to encourage and assist local community groups to become involved in the project, and, at the same time, develop new skills such as website content management and creating videos for website.

FORTH: Workshop to promote community arts network with Ian Oliver will take place in Shannon Chamber’s boardroom  – Unit B9, SkyCourt Shopping Centre, on Wednesday, 17th February.

We would welcome both individuals and members of local organisations involved in the arts to attend and participate in this workshop.

If you know of anyone involved in community/creative groups in Shannon Town, Bunratty, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe, or Newmarket-on-Fergus who would benefit from attending this FREE series of workshops, please also ask them to register their interest in participating in this development programme.

The workshops will be run weekly, commencing Wednesday, 27th January until Tuesday, March 22nd covering a variety of themes.
