Description

Shannon Chamber is delighted to host our first joint online workshop with The UL@Work initiative on Designing the Future topic.

Dr Annmarie Ryan will talk about altering the rules of the game so that your organisation and employees can shape the future not just react to it.  Getting your team and yourself ready for a changing world requires strategic foresight, futures mindset, and the ability to shape the wider ecosystem that your orgnisations operates in.  She investigates how to support people to develop a Futures Mindset, a vitally important skill that can empower individuals to take an active role in enabling their organisation and communities to adapt and strategise for a better future. She aims to empower the imagination and enhance ability to become future change agents in the economy and the wider global society.

In this talk you’ll learn about the importance of:

  • Developing action plans within your own network to shape the environment and market you wish to operate in.
  • How market shaping turns traditional strategic thinking on its head
  • Pointing your business (small, medium or large!)  towards the future
  • Building your own future forecasting skills

Dr Ryan is the course director of the new  UL@Work Digital Futures and Innovation summer school
