Sustainability Week Launch Event

Sustainability Week kicks off with an engaging LAUNCH event spotlighting leaders from well-established companies that have made significant strides in sustainability.

Our keynote speakers:

  • Tom O’Carroll, Director Manufacturing, Zimmer Biomet,
  • David Keating, Group Chief Operations Officer, Ei Electronics
  • Sinéad Murphy, Head of Sustainability, The Shannon Airport Group,

will share practical insights on how sustainable practices are being successfully implemented in their organisations.

This event sets the stage for a week of collaboration and meaningful conversations.

The aim of Sustainability Week is to inspire and mobilise more companies to take an active role in sustainability — no matter their size or industry. Through case studies, expert-led sessions, and local success stories, the week encourages businesses to explore practical, impactful ways to integrate sustainable practices into their operations and long-term strategies.

This event is kindly hosted by member company Ei Electronics and is Free of Charge.

  • Sinéad Murphy

    The Shannon Airport Group

    Sinéad joined The Shannon Airport Group in 2021 as Head of Sustainability. The Group’s core businesses include Shannon International Airport and an extensive commercial property portfolio across its Shannon Campus and the mid-west region. Sinead is responsible for developing and delivering the Groups sustainability strategy, and overseeing the company’s transition to a low carbon business. Sinéad joined the Group from WRAP, a climate action NGO, where she successfully worked with senior business leaders across multiple sectors, to implement supply chain decarbonisation programmes. Prior to this she spent over 15 years in London and Sydney working in property and infrastructure development, advising on sustainable design and implementation. She is a Chartered Environmentalist, holds a BSc Environmental Science, MSc Environmental Engineering, and a Diploma in Applied Project Management.

  • David Keating

    Group Chief Operations Officer

    David Keating is a Director of Ei Electronics in Shannon. With turnover in excess of €400 million and over 1,250 employees worldwide, 1,100 of whom are based in Shannon, Ei is one of the region’s largest employers. David has direct responsibility for manufacturing technology and facilities management. He is part of Ei’s Steering Group to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030. He is also part of Ei’s Sustainability Strategy Steering Group, key to defining the Company’s sustainability targets and decarbonisation strategy.
