Supporting sustainability efforts in Multinational companies – IDA Ireland’s suite of Grants explained

DATE: 12/05/2026

TIME: 8:30 am - 11:00 am

VENUE: Zimmer Biomet, Building 2, Shannon Industrial Estate East, Shannon

IDA clients committed to spend over 1bn euro on sustainability initiatives in 2025

This demonstrates that FDI operations here are contributing to their corporation’s global drive to reach net zero – making them more competitive in the process. To ensure that IDA clients in the Mid-West are utilising grant support for their sustainably projects, Shannon Chamber, in partnership with IDA Ireland, is hosting a focused, practical session for multinational (IDA client) companies in the Shannon and wider Mi-West region.

This event will show how IDA supports clients on their sustainability journey through Green Plus and Green Capital and will feature real-world case studies from companies at different stages of maturity.

Key Takeaways

  • Understand IDA sustainability supports and how they apply to your business.
  • Learn from two case studies:
    • A smaller company starting with a Green Plus consultancy project.
    • A larger multinational implementing a multi-year, site-wide sustainability programme.
  • Get practical guidance on:
    • How applications work in practice.
    • Who typically leads and contributes internally (sustainability, energy, facilities, finance, operations, H&S).
    • Tips to streamline the process and avoid common pitfalls.
