The tourism sector makes a valuable contribution to our national economy

As the organisation responsible for marketing the island of Ireland overseas, Tourism Ireland delivers world-class marketing programmes in 14 markets across Great Britain, North America, Mainland Europe and Australia.

With a focus on increasing the overall economic value of overseas tourism to the island of Ireland, by an average +5.6% per year over the next six years to 2030, Tourism Ireland also plans to support the economies of communities across the island, growing revenue to the regions outside of the peak season by an average +6.5% per year to 2030.

Having collaborated with Tourism Ireland on many occasions in the past, we are delighted to welcome its Chief Executive, Alice Mansergh, to give the keynote address at our annual President’s lunch. We look forward to hearing how the sector is performing against targets, how tourism products in the Shannon region contribute to the sector’s growth and,  how tourism footfall to the regions can increase in the years ahead.
