In order to improve understanding of migraine in the workplace, The Migraine Association is presenting this information seminar to help people understand the potential triggers and symptoms of migraine. This session will help both migraine sufferers and employers better understand this debilitating neurological condition.
The first session will feature a presentation from Ethna Mitten, Clinical Nurse Manager, The Migraine Clinic, Cork University Hospital, who will help people understand the potential triggers and symptoms of migraine. This session will help both migraine sufferers and employers better understand this debilitating neurological condition.
The second session will be presented by Patrick Little, CEO of The Migraine Association. He will outline the challenges of the workplace for the migraine sufferer and outline improvements that can be made in the workplace while summarising the legal obligations of employers in relation to supporting employees with this condition. In 2017 the World Health Organization reported migraine as the 6th most disabling disease overall and the 4th amongst women in its global disease burden study.
