Mid-West Sustainability Network Conference: Specialists Sharing Sustainability Strategies (S4)

This day-long conference is the culmination of a week of events in our Sustainability Week.

In organising this ‘Week’ we are honouring a committment made in our Strategic Plan 2023 – 2026 to create a platform to brainstorm and undertake initiatives that can enable Shannon and the region to play a meaningful role in Ireland attaining its national targets.

An impressive line-up of speakers from diverse sectors will share their stories in the morning session:

  • Douglas Joy, Managing Director, Heraeus Precision Metals, Ltd.

In the afternoon session we will join moderated panel discussion with presenters from Green Atlantic @ Moneypoint ESB, Shannon Foynes Port Company, Clare County Council and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). 

Our keynote speaker is

Brian O’Kennedy | Managing Director | Goodbody Clearstream

Guiding businesses towards a low-carbon more sustainable future, Clearstream is a leading Irish ESG, corporate sustainability and climate consultancy. Since it was founded by Brian back in 2009, the Clearstream team has advised hundreds of local and international customers on their ESG strategies. Goodbody, the leading financial services firm, acquired a majority stake in Clearstream, where Brian now continues to lead a team of over 23 expert sustainability consultants, with the additional ESG support and financial insight of its new parent.  He has a degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, a Certificate in Sustainable Management from BSI Group and is currently studying the Circular Economy at TU Delft.
