Hoshin Kanri Matrix is a tool used by companies to:
- Create smart goals – targets to improve and long-term goals
- Determine Strategies
- Establish Metrics
- Create action plans
- Review Progress against Strategy
It is also know as policy deployment, X-matrix.
In Lean management, the goal of applying the X matrix is to align the long-term needs with strategic initiatives, identify the most important activities to priorities, and list the metrics that you need to improve.
