Description

The session will focus on practical lessons from high performance organisations into modern practices for creating a positive, performance environment that attracts and retains staff.

The seminar will address key topics around talent attraction and retention including:

  • Creating a high-performance culture
  • Understanding the importance of the ‘performance gap’
  • Using meaning as a driver of performance
  • Creating a feedback rich culture
  • Fostering higher levels of employee engagement (practically)
  • Driving the right behaviours to create and sustain a positive organisation culture

The session will be run by Brian MacNeice, Managing Director – Kotinos Partners, a leading advisory firm that specialises in driving performance improvements in client organisations.

Brian has led much of Kotinos’ extensive research into high performance institutions and is a regular speaker on the topic at business conferences and seminars. He has recently written a book on organisational high performance, Powerhouse: Insider Accounts into the World’s Top High-performance Organizations.

The book is a provocative and inspiring insight into how the best institutions in the world lead their fields – explaining why they are the best and how any organisation can follow their example to deliver long-lasting, outstanding performance.

The case studies included in the book include detailed insights into the New Zealand All Blacks, St Louis Cardinals, Southwest Airlines, Tata & Sons, Toyota, Kirov Ballet, US Marines Corps, Grameen Bank, Médecins sans Frontières, Curtis Institute of Music, the Finland Education System and Mayo Clinic.

The session will draw on examples from these organisations and others to provide attendees with ideas to bring into their organisation culture.
