ABC Nutrition Ltd is an Irish owned and operated contract manufacturer of nutritional powders, vitamin capsules and spray vitamins. The company was established in 2007 and is based in Shannon, Co Clare. They currently employ 22 staff and ship direct to chains of stores across Ireland and the UK and to over 15 countries in mainland Europe. A previous winner of the Bord Bia Think Big award (2009) and the National Enterprise Award (2010) more recently the company was awarded the prestigious ā€˜InterTradeIreland FUSION Project Exemplar 2015ā€™ for high levels of innovation and collaboration between the company, its graduate and an academic.


Willie Wixted, ABC Nutrition Ltd.

Willie Wixted is a food technologist and nutritionist having studied at the Universities of Limerick & Chester. In 2007, along with colleagues he started ABC Nutrition Limited. The company specialises in developing sports nutrition products for private label business across Europe. ABC now exports to over 20 countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Padraic McElwee,Ā Head of Enterprise

He joined the Local Enterprise Office Clare as Head of Enterprise in 2015. He is a qualified Management Accountant and holds a Masters in Business Administration. Padraic has over 30 years experience of working in banking and brings to the role extensive knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by Micro/SMEā€™s as they seek to grow and develop their business.
