Description
Hydrogen fuel is a clean energy source that powers fuel cells to generate electricity. Hydrogen fuel is considered a key player in the transition to sustainable energy, offering potential for use in transportation, industrial processes, and electricity generation, all while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In 2024 ESB has launched new hydrogen power generation demonstration fuel cells to showcase what is the first deployment of hydrogen to electricity in Ireland.
A demonstration of this unit will be held in Shannon on 30th September and 1st October.
