Description

The level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity being undertaken by companies in the greater Shannon area, through direct financial support and/or employee hours expended, is quite staggering. Much of this activity is undertaken without fanfare but greatly enables so many charitable organisations to undertake projects they could not otherwise do.

Shannon Chamber has spent the last 6 months gathering data on CSR and will now host a dedicated CSR evening to showcase some of the projects companies in this area are undertaking and how their ‘giving’ benefits the region.

This benefits of this ‘matchmaking’ type event are twofold:

  1. It will provide a platform to link businesses with organisations seeking support – financial or manhours.
  2. It will give organisations seeking support from the business community the opportunity to give their elevator pitch – through having a ‘pop-up or advertising presence at the event (free of charge).

We therefore invite:

  1. All business in the wider Shannon area who are involved in /wish to start CSR to attend; and
  2. All organisations seeking support – financial, manhour, or otherwise  – to book their ‘advertising’ space in at this event by contacting lkizaite@shannonchamber.ie
