Tom is a Senior Project and Utilities Engineer in Stryker - Limerick with nearly 30 years of experience delivering engineering and energy infrastructure projects across the medical device, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. His current role in Stryker specialises in utilities, energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives, leading projects that improve operational resilience, reduce energy consumption and support sustainable manufacturing.
Michelle McManus
The Falls Hotel & Spa
Michelle McManus is an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager at The Falls Hotel & Spa in Ennistymon, Co. Clare, where she has worked since 2018. With a strong background in hospitality leadership, she oversees sales and marketing strategy while also playing key roles as Purchasing Manager and Green Team Leader. Michelle is deeply committed to sustainable tourism and responsible procurement across hotel, spa, and leisure operations.
She holds a master’s degree in Tourism Management and Destination Leadership, with a thesis focused on sustainability, and has held senior management roles across Ireland’s hospitality and visitor attraction sectors, including General Manager roles in Galway and Operations Manager at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience. Known for her strategic approach and operational expertise, Michelle combines commercial focus with a passion for sustainability and service excellence.
Fiona Lavin
SEAI
Fiona Lavin works for SEAI on their Large Industry Energy Network (LIEN) programme. Fiona qualified from University College Galway with a BE (Industrial Engineering) and later an MSc (Biomedical Science). She has experience in various manufacturing industries including wafer fabrication and data storage, fibre optics, wound care, medical device and advanced research and training with laser processing. In her current role Fiona focuses on supporting LIEN members to improve their energy performance and decarbonise their sites. This is achieved through the LIEN ongoing engagement supports including advisory, training, events, site visits and briefings
Kathleen Moore
SEAI
Kathleen Moore is an Executive on SEAI’s SME Business Decarbonisation Supports team. With over two decades of business experience, helping a diverse range of Irish and European companies to improve their business impacts, Kathleen returned to education to qualify in Sustainability for Enterprise (L8, UCC) and Environmental Sustainability Implementation in UCD (L9, UCD). She now focuses on sustainable business growth: offering energy guidance and grants to help Irish SMEs become more energy efficient, competitive and resilient while transitioning to renewable and smart energy technologies. Previously, Kathleen worked on SEAI's Sustainable Energy Community programme.
