The LSMATS has been developed by the National Transport Authority in collaboration with Limerick City and County Council, Clare County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

David Clements will outline the changes made to the original strategy, following feedback received during public consultation. He will also spell out the next steps involved in implementing the plan. The deadline for submissions on the revised draft is June 10.
Population, employment and education growth in the Limerick-Shannon Metropolitan Area is projected to grow by 50% by 2040. Transportation in all its forms will, obviously, be a critical factor in this growth.
