This one hour certified autism awareness, understanding and acceptance training is part of the Clare Autism Aware Campaign funded by Clare County Council. It seeks to address an in-depth exploration of autism so that businesses can be fully informed about supporting autistic employees, accommodating autistic visitors and their families to services and ensuring Clare businesses are leaders in their understanding of autism. This initiative has potential to put Clare on the map as a leading autism hub in Europe, attracting autistic families, researchers, innovators and visitors to our County. 

Each business gets a certificate of completion after this training session. 

Dr Susan Crawford is an autism specialist who has many years of research and practice in this field. Susan is an international speaker, author, researcher and innovator particularly specialising in autism and movement skills. She has received many academic awards for her work and more recently was also named “Clare Person of the Year”. Susan is also the mother of an autistic man named Tomás.  Together they have run, walked and hiked all over the world on an “autism active-autism aware” agenda. They are currently training for the New York City marathon. 

This session is free of charge and will be delivered online via Zoom.
