COVID-19 has had such an impact on our lives in so many ways. While the current Level 5 restrictions may be cumbersome, they are necessary. However, we do ask ourselves when will we see light at the end of the tunnel and. how many more such lockdowns will be required to reach that point.

Daily updates remind us of the continuing prevalence, albeit somewhat reducing, of the pandemic, but, placed on a TV screen or on a radio broadcast, they are just numbers. We do not personally know what dealing with COVID-19 in a hospital setting feels like.

Limerick native and a consultant at Beaumont Hospital Dublin, Professor Declan deFreitas does.

He has been at the coalface of COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic and fully understands the necessity for and benefits of restrictions and how important it is for each of us, as individuals and as businesses, to listen to and abide by the guidelines.
