Shannon Chamber…the background
Shannon Chamber has been in existence since 1995, when a number of key business leaders decided their needs were not represented at regional / national level. We became affiliated to Chambers Ireland – the National Chamber movement – in 2003, and are now recognised as one of the most progressive and fastest growing chambers in the country. With a current membership of over 270 companies, Shannon Chamber has an extended reach to approximately 10,000 employees.
Our membership levels have grown under the guidance of a dedicated and committed board of directors, representative of the business community. Members are not just drawn from the immediate Shannon vicinity but from the wider region including Bunratty, Kilmurry, Kilkishen, Meelick, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Sixmilebridge, Clarecastle, Limerick and Ennis and also from companies located outside the region, particularly in Dublin. All of our members benefit from networking, collaboration and exchange of ideas on issues of common concern.
A privately constituted organisation, Shannon Chamber works for the economic development of Shannon town and the adjoining region. As the voice of the business community – industrial, commercial and consumer retail – we offer a wide range of services to benefit our membership, including training programmes, corporate lunches with keynote speakers, and information and educational seminars.
