WrxFlo Appoints Ryan O’Reilly as Chief Commercial Officer
Irish AI-powered manufacturing and logistics software company and Shannon Chamber member, WrxFlo, has appointed Ryan O’Reilly as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing more than 25 years of international sales and commercial leadership experience to the role.
Ryan joins WrxFlo as the Limerick-headquartered company accelerates its expansion, following a €3 million funding round earlier this year to support growth in the UK and US and the continued development of its AI-powered SaaS platform.
In his new role as Chief Commercial Officer, Ryan will lead WrxFlo’s commercial and sales strategy, with responsibility for growing its customer base and identifying new opportunities in existing and new markets. He will also lead the development of WrxFlo’s sales organisation, working with teams across the business to strengthen how the company brings its technology to market and builds relationships with manufacturing and logistics customers in Ireland and overseas.
Ryan has held senior commercial and sales leadership roles across the technology sector, working across Europe, North America and Australia. Most recently, he spent three years as Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Sales Enablement with a global payments company. Earlier in his career, Ryan held roles with Dell, Apple and EMC before establishing his own sales consultancy and executive coaching business, which he ran for more than eight years. During that time, he worked with senior executives, leadership teams and businesses on commercial strategy, sales performance and leadership development.
Alongside his commercial leadership experience, Ryan is an accredited executive coach and holds an MSc in Personal and Management Coaching from University College Cork and a Higher Diploma in Business and Executive Coaching from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. He also holds a BA in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Wolverhampton (UK) and previously studied Marketing Management and International Trade at LIT, now Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).
Commenting on the appointment, Tim Crowe, Co-Founder and CEO of Wrxflo said:
“Ryan has spent his career understanding what makes commercial teams perform at their best and, importantly for us, how you build that performance across different markets. He has led sales and commercial functions internationally, worked with some of the world’s leading technology companies and also spent more than eight years running his own consultancy, so he brings experience from several different sides of the commercial world.
“His background in executive coaching adds another dimension to that. Ryan has spent many years working with senior leaders and sales teams on performance and leadership alongside his own commercial roles. That combination of commercial experience and people leadership is a particularly strong fit for what we want from our CCO, and we are delighted to have him on the WrxFlo leadership team.”
Commenting on his appointment, Ryan O’Reilly said: “What attracted me to WrxFlo was the combination of a strong technology platform, an experienced team and a very clear ambition for growth. The company has already built significant momentum, and for me the opportunity is to build on that and look at how we take WrxFlo to more customers and markets.
“Much of my career has been spent building and working with commercial and sales teams in technology businesses at different stages of growth. One of the things I have learned is that a strong product is only part of the equation. You also need to be very clear about how you take it to market, how you build the right sales organisation around it and, most importantly, how you demonstrate its value to customers.
“I am looking forward to working with the team to build on what WrxFlo has already achieved and turn the opportunity we see in markets such as the UK and US into sustainable commercial growth.”
