CBAM in Practice: Liability, Supplier Data and Cost Control for EU Importers

DATE: 25/11/2026

TIME: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

VENUE: Online, Online, Online

The CBAM definitive regime is now in force. This webinar is for companies importing CBAM-scope goods into the EU. It explains where liability sits, how the rules have changed, and which decisions will drive your costs between now and 2034.

Attendees will learn how to:

  1. Confirm whether your goods are in scope, using the relevant CN codes, and identify the data needed to assess your exposure.
  2. Get the right emissions data from suppliers, including who provides it and how to handle the commercial challenges.
  3. Navigate the definitive regime: thresholds, key dates, costs, and payment obligations.
  4. Choose between default values and verified actual emissions, with a look at precursor emissions, verification, and penalties.
  5. Avoid the most common mistakes importers make.
  6. Understand how the UK CBAM differs from the EU regime, if you trade with Great Britain.
