In conjunction with Adare Human Resource Management, ShannonChamber are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Workplace Relations Commission Mock Adjudication Hearing.

This event will provide you with a unique opportunity of first-hand experience from the comfort of your seat to learn directly from an Adjudication Officer and Senior ER/IR Practitioners. It will equip all attendees with the framework needed to navigate this adjudicating process and the confidence to effectively manage claims brought forward in this new system.  

Adjudicating Participants:

Eugene Hanley – Adjudication Officer at the Workplace Relations

As an adjudicator for the Workplace Relations Commission since 2014 Eugene’s role involves dispute resolution in the form of investigations, adjudication and arbitration. Adjudication Officers have the responsibility of hearing cases from parties at the WRC and deciding whether the complaint is well founded. Eugene also worked as a Rights Commissioner in the Labour Relations Commission since 2007.

Eugene has 35 years’ experience in Human Resources and Development in the Public and Private sector. Eugene has completed a number of studies which include a M.Sc (HRM) Masters Degree in Human Resources Management from Sheffield Hallam University specialising in Partnership, a F.C.I.P.D. Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and a M.I.I.T.D. Member of the Irish Institute of Training & Development

Eugene also operates as an independent HR Consultant under Hanly HR Solutions concentrating on investigations, arbitration and conflict resolution.

Liam MacNameeHead of Employer Relations, Adare Human Resource Management

Liam MacNamee graduated from Dublin City University with degree in Business Studies, specialising in Human Resource Management. Liam has completed a Master’s degree in Human Resource Strategies with Dublin City University and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies with the Honourable Society of King’s Inns.

Prior to joining Adare Human Resource Management, Liam worked as a HR Executive for the Local Government Management Agency where he led a major Government reform agenda involving 3,000 employees and was responsible for the delivery of a customer focused industrial relations and specialist employment law advisory service to the local government sector employing 27,500 employees. Liam also previously spent a decade working with Teagasc as Employee Relations Manager where he was responsible for the management and co-ordination of all employee related issues, at a strategic and individual level.

As the Head of Employer Relations, Liam is responsible for overseeing the provision of high quality employee and industrial relations advice and service to Adare Human Resource Management clients and managing a portfolio of clients as well as representing organisations in third parties.

Acting Union Representative

Tommy Cummins – Head of Industrial Relations, Adare Human Resource Management

Tommy Cummins advises Adare Human Resource Management clients on significant and large scale industrial relations issues. Tommy regularly represents Organisations in the Labour Relations Commission and the Labour Court.

In his role of Senior Industrial Relations Consultant, Tommy assists unionised and non-unionised Organisations in the design, development and delivery of Organisational change through an Employee Relations framework, including redefinition of established IR processes and introduction of Pay and Reward structures to drive tangible productivity gain within the Organisation.

Prior to working with Adare Human Resource Management, Tommy worked for over 20 years in a senior HR capacity within diverse multinational organisations such as Fujitsu Microelectronics, IBM and AXA Insurance.

Tommy’s achievements have been recognised within the fields of IR and HR when he was an invited speaker at the 2009 and 2011 IRN Conferences and also a Winner of the CIPD Watson Wyatt HR Innovation Award 2008.

Events Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be accepted up to 72hrs before each event. Events which are cancelled within 72 hours of scheduled date shall incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the agreed cost. Registrants who fail to attend the event will be charged 100% of the full fee. This policy applies to all events.
