Description

The Wild Atlantic Way is Ireland’s first long-distance touring route, stretching along the Atlantic coast from Donegal to West Cork. The overall aim of the project is to develop a route that will achieve greater visibility for the west coast of Ireland in overseas tourist markets. 

 

The primary objective of the presentation is to provide a general overview of the Wild Atlantic Way.

The presentation will includes updates on the following areas:

  • A review of the Wild Atlantic Way to date
  • Outcomes achieved for 2014, 2015
  • Plans proposed for 2016 to include (Marketing & Promotion, Enhanced awareness across digital platforms, Experience development plans (Interpretation of the Wild Atlantic Way & Installation of photo points), Capital projects, Trade engagement.

The Presentation will be given by Suzanne Trehy – Client Services Manager of the Cliff Coast Zone along the Wild Atlantic Way. The Cliff Coast stretches from Galway through Clare to the north Kerry coast.
