DESCRIPTION:Shannon Chamber is relaunching Shannon Business Watch\, the cri
 me prevention programme designed by An Garda Síochána\, whereby the Gard
 aí and the business community come together to prevent and reduce crime. 
 This initiative will provide businesses in Shannon with a platform to shar
 e information\, best practices\, and discuss issues that directly impact t
 heir local business environment.\n\nHow Business Watch Works\n\nMembers of
  a Business Watch scheme share a number of common activities:\n\n 	They lo
 ok out for crime or any suspicious situation that would indicate crime is 
 being committed in or around the ‘Watch’ area.\n 	They report what the
 y see or suspect immediately to the Gardaí and to other members of Busine
 ss Watch through the lines of contact provided by the scheme.\n 	They work
  closely with their local Gardaí (in Shannon’s case Garda Maeve Heelan)
  to ensure their premises are as secure as possible.\n 	They mark company 
 property as a crime prevention measure.\n 	They discuss common challenges 
 faced by businesses\, such as anti-social behaviour\, security systems\, a
 nd other relevant concerns that affect day-to-day operations.\n\nWhy Get I
 nvolved?\n\n 	Enhanced Security: By joining forces\, we can work together 
 to tackle security issues more effectively\, helping to create a safer bus
 iness environment in Shannon.\n 	Valuable Networking: The Business Watch i
 nitiative will foster a stronger sense of community and collaboration betw
 een local businesses. Together\, we can leverage each other’s knowledge 
 and experience to enhance the overall business landscape.\n 	Expert Suppor
 t: With the involvement of Gardaí\, your business will have access to exp
 ert advice on various security matters\, including the latest trends in cy
 ber threats\, physical security measures\, and more.\n 	WhatsApp Group: A 
 dedicated WhatsApp group will be set up for real-time communication among 
 participating businesses. This will serve as a fast and efficient conduit 
 for sharing important information\, alerts\, and updates on any local secu
 rity matters.\n\nWe are currently liaising closely with Garda Maeve Heelan
 \, who is assisting us is setting up the group and will provide expert gui
 dance on topics such as cyber security\, safety protocols\, and more.\n\nI
