SUMMARY:Mid-West Lean Network: Workshop 7 - Strategic Policy Deployment
DESCRIPTION:The Mid-West Lean Network: the second largest regional lean net
 work in Ireland\, after Waterford Institute&nbsp\;of Technology’s&nbsp\;
 Lean Enterprise Excellence Group\, launched in November\, was set up to st
 rengthen and increase the existing culture of lean within the Shannon and 
 the wider Mid-West region. Its aim is to&nbsp\;enable each industry to bro
 aden and strengthen&nbsp\;their competitiveness through knowledge sharing 
 and bench-marking&nbsp\;against each other and different industries.&nbsp\
 ;\n&nbsp\;Registration from 8.00 am&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nWorkshop #7 will take
  place in Cook Medical and will focus on:&nbsp\; Strategic Policy Deployme
 nt\n&nbsp\;\n\nStrategic Policy deployment is the process that converts st
 rategy into reality. Policy Deployment is a method for ensuring that the s
 trategic goals of a company drive progress and action at every level withi
 n that company. This eliminates the waste that comes from inconsistent dir
 ection and poor communication.\n\nThis workshop will be jointly hosted by 
 Cook Medical and Analog Devices.&nbsp\; The aim of this workshop is to pro
 vide an insight into how both companies have approached Policy Deployment.
 &nbsp\; Analog have a mature process and a number of years of experience i
 n this area.&nbsp\; Cook Medical are relatively new to Continuous Improvem
 ent and are in the first year of this process.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; During the wo
 rkshop presenters will provide an overview of the following points relatin
 g to Strategic Policy Deployment as applied in Cook Medical and Analog Dev
 ices.\n\n 	What is Strategic Policy Deployment\n\n\n 	The process that was
  used to convert strategy into reality\n\n\n 	Lessons learned from a matur
 e process and from a first time deployment\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout Cook Medica
